The Masters

As I heard on some TV show on Sunday morning, "There are only three things you do on Easter, go to Church, eat food, and watch the Masters" (actually I don't think the Masters are always on Easter weekend...have to figure that out). Seemed like a pretty good list of things to do on Easter to me. I skipped out on the first one, but I definitely ate some food, and definitely watched the Masters. Just like everybody else, I was rooting for Tiger to come from behind and win, and it actually looked like he was going to until he hit that tree on the 17th hole. And all you can really say is that he tried hard and came up short because even though he didn't win he still shot 4 under par on Sunday and still had a pretty damn good round. Phil Mickelson...probably another story. Talk about terrible putting! This guy missed a couple 5 footers that would have given him the lead, especially that eagle put on the 14th or 15th. True, he did have a pretty good round as well, but I feel like he had a better chance to capture the lead then Tiger. And don't even get me started on Kenny Perry...this guy had the lead, in his hand, covered in gold and green jackets, and he choked...big time. Bogey's on the last two holes to go into a three man playoff and then totally falling apart on the second hole to give ol' Angel the win was pretty pathetic to watch. Now, I play golf myself and am in no way better than any of these guys, but I honestly think I could have done almost as well as he did on that second playoff hole. And I wonder what size jacket Angel wears...probably not as big as Craig Stadler or John Daly. The most interesting thing from the Masters I saw on Sunday was Asian Cowboy Shingo Katayama...a solid 3rd place finish, I wonder if he rides panda bears instead of horses?
